NOTE: Actual techniques covered within each subject will vary depending on how quickly the technique is absorbed by the attendees. Self-Defense aspects and variations will be a part of each technique worked. Depending on time constraints, we may not cover all subjects listed above. We will make every attempt to touch techniques and scenarios within each of the listed subjects.

Instructor Qualifications: Chad Haas is currently an Adjunct Instructor at the UT Systems Police Academy and has been serving in that role for the past 15 years, teaching Empty Hand Defensive Tactics and Techniques to Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers. Chad is a 6th Dan Black Belt in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu and has been teaching applicable Martial Arts techniques and strategies to Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement individuals and small groups for 25 years.

NOTE: The above items are required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) to receive TCOLE Training Credits. These items also meet the requirements stipulated in the Texas Administrative Code (Title 37 Part 7 Chapter 218 Rule 218.1). The Attendee will be responsible for providing the post-training documents to their training department for submission and recognition of credit to TCOLE.

All New Attendees MUST fill out a Waiver prior to the start of training.

Clothing Requirements: MUST wear pants and a workout shirt or rashguard (Under Armor style). Wearing shorts will not prevent Mat Burns, which is caused by the texture of the mat on bare knees. Grappling Gi NOT required, but welcome to bring/wear if available. NO SHOES allowed on the Training Mat.

Off-Line Payments: Payment can also be made via Cash or Check. Checks must be made out to "Haas-Jitsu Defensive Systems". Due to available space limitations, attendees who do not pay online must register via the On-Line Registration (linked below) prior to the Training Date in order to reserve their spot.
